Updated

25.01.01

Duration

C25

Objective

Read at least 52 books - whether they are story, poetry, essay collection. Novels, or non-fiction in the calendar year.

Hypothesis

Since my preteens, I have consistently read between 30 and 80 books a year. In 2024, I barely read a dozen. Reading has always been my preferred leisure activity, and something I find both gratifying and fulfilling. In 2025 I’ll get back on track by averaging a book a week, and because of the sheer quantity, I’ll be forced to carve out evening time and read a books of varying theme, medium, and length.

Experiment Design

Read regularly. Log finished books in Goodreads and my journal with a 1-5 star ranking.

Experiment Design

Join the 52 frames community, and prioritize taking the photo of the week. I expect this is something that will primarily done on weekends, and oftentimes when we are on the road camping. The goal here is not to take the best possible picture, but rather put some thought and time into the production of a photograph each week for a year.

25001A - Workout 70% of the year

Updated - 25.01.01

Duration - C25

Objective

To build further on 2024 and expand from 50% of all calendar days featuring at least 20% of exercise to 70%

  • Continue developing exercise habit as longterm lifestyle goal

Hypothesis

By increasing my annual goal to 70% workout days I'll more quickly achieve medium and long term fitness goals - ex - lifting goals, while actively adding more moderate days versus putting a too aggressive effort in.

Experiment Design

I’ll track all workouts done in 2025 in my annual workout spreadsheet. While Zone 2+ exercise will be preferred, anything that consistently raises my heart rate over 100bpm for at least 15 minutes will be constituted as a workout. Typically, but not always, these will correspond with an Apple Watch workout as well.
